Since I am a cat and don’t get out much, actually not at all, I was wondering how I might write a blog that would be informative to humans. I am happy to report that I have found a way to pass on useful information to those living in places other than Our house. Awhile back I was sitting on the floor between my human Mom and Dad and I overheard them talking about an outing they had been on.
That’s it, I thought! I will blog on what they talk about that sounds interesting. First, here’s some information about us.
We are living in Las Vegas again after six years of residing in Pompano Beach, Fl. I know that many of you will come to Las Vegas for a vacation or for business, so this blog will include places of interest around town, however my human parents have also lived other places like Northern Ca. and Atlanta Ga. Once a year they spend a week in Carmel, Ca.
I’ve been listening to their adventures for a long time and will report the high points to you.
Just this week, some of my parents’ out of town friends came to visit. They all planned an outing and off they went. Sure I was mad that I couldn’t go but a nice long nap was calling me and before I knew it, they were back. They all gathered around the kitchen island to discuss the day.
Here’s what I learned. About twenty five minutes from our house, hidden in the desert, up against the mountains, sits a place called Bonnie Springs Ranch. They serve food out there in a rustic cabin type restaurant. Mom and Dad had delicious hamburgers. After lunch there was some kind of animal gathering. They even petted some of the creatures. [I thought I was the only one they petted!] Anyway…..there’s this western little town that they moseyed through and even went on a miniature train ride. They plan to return another time, to ride horses. What’s a horse?
So if you are ever in the Las Vegas area and would like to spend a few hours away from the Strip, this adventure is for you. Be sure to take a camera. They came back with lots of photos.
